Foyer St. Jacques Nursing Home offers its residents a five-week menu cycle (winter or summer) and complete therapeutic diets (diabetic, low-fat, restricted or no-added salt, and others as per physician's orders).
The residents are provided with three complete meals daily, with a second choice of entrée, between meal snacks and supplements as required. Meals are served around 8:00 a.m. for breakfast, around 12:00 noon for lunch and around 5:00 p.m. for diner. In between meals, snacks are served either in the residents' rooms or in the main living room; they are provided in the morning around 10:00 a.m., in the afternoon around 2:00 p.m. and in the evening around 8:00 p.m.
We have two dining rooms where the residents may eat their meals. The first dining room is for residents who require minimal supervision and assistance although a health care aide and dietary aide are always present in this dining room. The second dining room is designated mainly for residents who require ongoing supervision or for those requiring more assistance or complete feeding from qualified health care personnel.
Family and friends are encouraged and supported by all members of personnel to join their loved ones for meals, either to assist with feeding them or to keep them company throughout the meal.
Our dietary staff includes qualified and experienced cooks and dietary aides. Five days a week, the Food Service Supervisor is at your service to discuss residents' preferences, likes and dislikes.
